The engineer behind the systems

I'm Rakibul H. Rabbi — a software engineer passionate about enterprise application development, system architecture, developer tooling, automation, and intelligent software systems.

Currently working at Ha-Meem Group, where I contribute to enterprise ERP systems, production workflows, HRM integrations, Windows-based services, and business-critical applications.

My engineering experience spans .NET, C#, SQL Server, Vue.js, React, Angular, Laravel, and modern JavaScript ecosystems.

I enjoy solving problems that emerge when systems become complex. Rather than repeatedly solving the same engineering challenges, I prefer building reusable tools, abstractions, and scalable foundations that make development easier for everyone.

Beyond professional development, I experiment with local AI infrastructure, LLM-powered applications, developer productivity tools, and automation.

“Good engineering is not about writing more code. It is about making complexity understandable.”

The tools I reach for, grouped the way the work uses them. No percentages: either I ship with it or it isn’t listed. Pick a stack to see the tools one piece of work connects.

34 tools

The local AI workspace: a Vue client over .NET services, SQL Server for state, Ollama for the models.

Currently building: Mostisko

RabbitIC (মস্তিষ্ক, “the brain”) is an extensible, locally hosted AI workspace that brings together conversation, context engineering, document intelligence, automation and enterprise workflows. The goal is a local AI ecosystem that helps developers, reads enterprise documents, works with structured data and supports business operations. It is in active development; planned modules are drawn with broken lines.

Work and client sites

Experimental

  • Election Data Entry Module

A Vue 3 and TypeScript admin panel where election officers enter, search and filter vote records.

    django-election-app.vercel.appStatus: Experiment
    Read the case study

    What it is

A Vue 3 + TypeScript admin panel where election officers enter, search and filter vote records. It is one module of a larger system with Election Summary, Users, Common Data, Operations and Election configuration sections.

    What it does

    • Entry form for vote count, election, worker or officer, election center and a “Sent to Audit” flag, with validation and reset on submit.
    • Records table with search, pagination and an audit-status filter, showing readable names instead of raw IDs.
    • Recursive, typed menu navigation.

    Problems solved

    Election centers not displaying.
Fixed the service call and added fallbacks.
Crash on menu items without icons.
Made the icon optional, added safe rendering and typed the recursive findMenuItem.
    Raw IDs in the table.
    Replaced them with lookup-resolved names.

    Next

    • Duplicate checks
    • Role-based permissions
    • Unit tests for the lookups and menu recursion
    • Centralized data loading

Running LLMs locally with Ollama

Run useful language models on company hardware so documents never leave the building.

Technology
Ollama, .NET 8, Local LLMs
Findings so far
Temperature is a task setting, not a personality: near zero for extracting invoice fields, higher only when variation is the point.

Ongoing

Context engineering

Give a small local model the right few pages instead of everything, and measure the difference.

Technology
Embeddings, SQL Server, Vue.js
Findings so far
Similarity search decides what the model sees; the quality of that selection matters more than model size.

An Ollama-compatible API gateway

Keep the Ollama request shape so existing clients work, and add tracking, analytics and per-user settings behind it.

Technology
ASP.NET Core, RBAC, Ollama API
Findings so far
Matching an existing protocol is the cheapest integration there is: every client that speaks Ollama works on day one.

Read-only queries in EF Core

Cut the overhead of reporting screens that only read data in ASP.NET Core applications.

Technology
ASP.NET Core, EF Core, SQL Server
Findings so far
Turning off change tracking for read-only queries removes work the screen never needed.

Scaffolding instead of repeating

Stop rebuilding auth, RBAC and project structure for every new .NET service.

Technology

Findings so far
A template earns its keep the third time; Calcifer and Rookie exist because the same foundation kept coming back.
